About the platform

INTALA LAB Ontologies Hub is a web-based semantic knowledge platform developed to publish, visualize, query, and disseminate ontologies created within INTALA LAB research activities.

The platform focuses on ontologies related to smart agriculture, apiculture, hazelnut production, livestock systems, agricultural decision support, and semantic knowledge representation. It provides a centralized environment where ontology files, metadata, persistent IRIs, SPARQL queries, and visualization tools are made accessible through a single interface.

Ontology repository

Structured access to ontology metadata, versions, RDF/XML files, and persistent base IRIs.

SPARQL querying

Run SPARQL queries over published RDF graphs and inspect semantic relationships.

Visualization

Class hierarchy exploration, knowledge graph visualization, and property network analysis.

Platform objectives

  • To provide a persistent and accessible repository for INTALA LAB ontologies.
  • To support semantic interoperability in agriculture and livestock-related research.
  • To enable ontology exploration through SPARQL queries and visual analytics.
  • To promote reuse of domain ontologies in academic studies and software systems.
  • To support transparent citation, versioning, and dissemination of semantic resources.

Institutional context

INTALA LAB conducts multidisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, semantic web technologies, optimization, GIS, IoT, machine learning, and smart agriculture. The Ontologies Hub serves as a semantic infrastructure component for organizing and sharing domain knowledge generated through these research activities.

The platform is designed to evolve over time with new ontologies, new versions, additional semantic tools, and extended visualization capabilities.
